Currently, in smart TVs, digital cameras, portable players, mobile phones, tablets... In other fields, in fact, HDMI cables are needed. HDMI is a digital video/audio interface technology for high-definition multimedia, which is a dedicated digital interface suitable for image transmission, which can transmit audio and image signals at the same time without the need for digital/analog or analog/digital conversion before signal transmission. However, due to different application fields, the interface types of HDMI cables are also divided into many types. So do you know what types of interfaces there are for HDMI cables?
The interface types of HDMI cables mainly include A, B, C, D, E five types.
1. Type A:
HDMI A Type is a very widely used HDMI cable, HDMI A interface has a total of 19 pins, a width of 13.9 mm and a thickness of 4.45 mm. General flat-screen TVs or video equipment, all provide this size of interface, Type A has 19 pins, width of 13.9 mm, thickness of 4.45 mm, now daily life in use of 99% of audio and video equipment are equipped with this size of interface. For example: Blu-ray player, Xiaomi box, laptop, LCD TV, projector and so on.
2, Type B (Type B)
HDMI B Type is relatively rare in life. The HDMI B interface uses 29pin and a width of 21 mm. The HDMI B Type's data transfer capability is nearly twice as fast as the HDMI A Type, equivalent to DVI Dual-Link. Since most audio and video devices work below 165MHz, and HDMI B Type operates at frequencies above 270MHZ, it is completely too "powerful" in home applications, and is now only used in some professional occasions, such as WQXGA 2560×1600 resolution.
3, Type C (Type C)
HDMI C Type, often referred to as Mini HDMI, is primarily designed for small devices. HDMI C Type also uses 19pin, its size of 10.42×2.4 mm is nearly 1/3 smaller than Type A, the application range is very small, mainly used in portable devices, such as digital cameras, portable players and other devices.
4, Type D (Type D)
HDMI D Type is commonly known as Micro HDMI. HDMI D Type is a new interface type with a further reduction in size. It uses a double-row pin design, also 19pin, with a width of only 6.4 mm and a thickness of 2.8 mm, much like the Mini USB port. It is mainly used in small mobile devices, and is more suitable for portable and in-vehicle devices. For example: mobile phones, tablets, etc.
5, Type E (Type E)
HDMI E Type is mainly used for audio and video transmission of in-vehicle entertainment systems. Due to the instability of the interior environment, HDMI E Type is designed to be shockproof, moisture-proof, high-strength and have a large temperature difference tolerance range. In terms of physical structure, the mechanical locking design is adopted to ensure contact reliability.
The above introduction is the common interface type of HDMI cable. When we choose an HDMI cable, we must pay attention to the appropriate HDMI cable interface type according to the equipment you are using, so as to better ensure the transmission effect of the HDMI cable, so as to give you a good experience.
