USB2.0 provides ample bandwidth for a wide variety of devices and applications, but with the advent of high-definition video, gigabyte (1000GB) storage devices, digital cameras up to gigabit, high-capacity mobile phones, and portable media players, higher bandwidth and transmission speeds are a must.
