What is RJ45 Category 6 network cable?

RJ45 Class six network cable is a high-performance network connection line, which supports high-speed data transmission and long transmission distance.

Class 6 network cable bandwidth up to 250MHZ, transmission speed up to 10GBPS, suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and some 10 Gigabit Ethernet environment, compared with Class 5 network cable (cat5) and super Class 5 network cable (cat5e), Class 6 network cable has a significant improvement in performance, including lower attenuation and crosswise, and higher signal-to-noise ratio. This allows it to support higher speed data transmission and longer transmission distances.

When Category 6 network cables are used for Gigabit Ethernet, the maximum transmission distance can only be within 37 to 55 meters.

When making Category 6 RJ45 network cables, you need to line them according to a certain sequence. Common sequence standards include T568A and T568B. During production, use a wire stripper to strip off the protective cover of the network cable, arrange the cable cores according to the standard sequence, cut the cores, insert them into the RJ45 RJ45 connector, and press them tightly with cable crimping pliers. After completing one end, repeat the above steps to make the other end, and use the network cable tester to test to ensure that the network cable can be used normally.

RJ45 six types of network cable is widely used, mainly for local area network (LAN) to create Ethernet connections, support high-speed data transmission, suitable for home, enterprise and data center and other network environment. In addition, according to the specific requirements of the network cable environment, RJ45 cables can also be divided into shielded and unshielded types.

Specifically designed for use in environments where high levels of electromagnetic interference (EMI) may be present, the shielded RJ45 connector features metal shielding that helps protect data signals transmitted over the cable, ensuring uninterrupted network performance.

When selecting the RJ45 six type network cable, the user should consider its transmission speed, frequency bandwidth, maximum transmission distance and whether it needs to be shielded to ensure that the needs of the specific network environment are met.
