What is RJ45 Cable?

RJ45 cable is a kind of network hardware for wired networks, commonly known as Ethernet cables, widely used to connect computers, routers and switches in local area networks (Lans) to provide reliable, high-speed Internet access.

RJ45 cable plug, that is, crystal head, has eight cores, widely used in LAN and ADSL broadband Internet users of the network equipment between the network cable connection.

There are two main types of RJ45 cable: standard type and shielded type. While standard RJ45 connectors are present in most Ethernet cables, shielded RJ45 connectors are specifically designed for use in environments where high levels of electromagnetic interference (EMI) may be present, with metal shielding to protect data signals.

RJ45 waterproof cables and harnesses are available and typically have the following characteristics:

(1)Water resistance rating: Some products can reach an IP68 water resistance rating, which means they can be completely submerged in water without damage.

(2)Materials: The use of advanced PC materials, these materials are UV resistant and low flammability, sealing gaskets have high tensile strength and high ductility.

(3)Applicability: Suitable for cables of different wire diameters, some offer options from 5.5mm to 9.5mm wire diameters, and can be customized to suit other wire diameters.

(4)Design: Some products are designed with cuts on the wall of the sealing gasket, which is convenient for users to use the finished RJ45 plug cable without on-site installation.

The RJ45 plug is used for 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connections, which is what we often say 10 Mbit, 100 Mbit and Gigabit Ethernet. This connector is widely used in modern network communication because of its reliability and versatility.
