The OBD2 bisectional extension cable is a special automotive diagnostic accessory that allows two OBD2 diagnostic tools to be connected simultaneously to the OBD-II interface of the vehicle.
This extension cord is typically used in situations where multiple diagnostic devices need to be used simultaneously, such as during car maintenance or performance tuning.
OBD extension cable is a cable used to connect the OBD interface of the OBD diagnostic tool, and its use includes the following basic steps:
(1)Determine the car series to be diagnosed and select the corresponding OBD diagnostic device plug. Different car series may correspond to different plugs. The common ones on the market are OBD2 and OBD2 plugs with CAN.
(2)Plug the OBD extension cord into the vehicle's OBD port, which is usually located on the left and right sides below the steering wheel.
(3)Turn ON the ignition switch of the vehicle to ON, then turn on the OBD diagnostic instrument, and select the corresponding model and engine model for diagnosis.
(4)Select the engine system through the diagnostic instrument, read the fault code, if the fault code is not checked, you can choose to read the data stream, view the data change and compare with the maintenance manual.
(5)After diagnosis and maintenance, clear the fault code, start the engine to read the fault code again, and confirm whether it has been cleared.
(6)Note: First connect the connector, then turn ON the ignition switch to ON, and finally turn on the car fault diagnosis instrument.
