How to choose a data cable?

1. Select according to the purpose:

The purpose of the data cable is nothing more than to transmit data and charge, at present, common digital devices are used to transfer data with USB data cable, USB3.0 protocol above the USB-C interface has become the standard of the latest flagship mobile phone, not only greatly improve the bandwidth, make the data transmission speed faster, and achieve better power management, mobile phone fast charging is more convenient. Current thin and light laptops generally join the USB-C interface, which can support higher rates of data transmission, and some high-end laptops are also equipped with a USB-C interface that supports the Thunderbolt 3 protocol, which can use faster Thunderbolt wires to transmit data.

2. Select by material:

In recent years, the data cable is covered with a variety of materials, and various manufacturers have successively launched braided wires, pulling car wires and other data cables with different characteristics, and consumers have countless choices.

PVC, TPE is a more traditional data cable material, in the past, the original Apple cable using PVC material is easy to oxidize and yellow, but also particularly fragile, interface tail net and cable handover part is particularly easy to "break the skin", basically rarely use this material.

Braided wire is currently a very hot outer material, its advantage is wear-resistant, anti-pull. The woven wire is generally hard and coarse, and many large manufacturers apply new nylon materials to the data line to improve the weaving process and make the wire softer. If the manufacturer requires a little more, it will also add Kevlar fiber and upgrade to a stronger pulling wire. The service life of the braided wire is relatively long.

In addition, manufacturers will also work the end, adding integrated injection molding, PC shell, aluminum alloy shell, stainless steel shell, etc. at the end, with a variety of data cables.

3. Select according to length:

Different usage scenarios require different lengths of cables, about 1 meter is the most common data cable length, but also the most suitable length for daily use, will not be too long to cause drag, not easy to store, not too short, can not reach the socket.
