From which points the fault of the wire and cable is confirmed

Since the beginning of electricity, there is cable, we often use wires and cables in our lives, we all know that electricity is inseparable from the line, the line is also inseparable from electricity, both are useless. That's why so many home appliances and electronic products are extended. But sometimes when our electronic products strike to us, we can't confirm that it is the wire and cable or the electronic original defect, what should we do?

The method of determining the type of cable fault is to measure the insulation resistance of each phase at one end of the line with a megohmmeter. The type of fault is generally determined based on the following conditions:

(1) When the insulation resistance of one or several cores of the rocking cable to the ground, or the insulation resistance between the cores is less than 100Ω, it is a low resistance grounding or short circuit fault.

(2) When the insulation resistance of one or several cores of the rocking cable to the ground, or the insulation resistance between the cores is much lower than the normal value, but higher than 100Ω, it is a high resistance ground fault.

(3) When the insulation resistance of one or several cores of the rocking cable to the ground is high or normal, the conductor continuity test should be carried out to check whether there is a broken wire, if there is, it is a broken fault.

(4) When one or several conductors of the rocker test cable are discontinuous, and they are grounded by resistance, it is a broken wire and ground fault.

(5) Flashover faults mostly occur in preventive withstand voltage tests, and most of the occurrence parts are in cable terminations and intermediate joints. Flashover sometimes occurs multiple times in a row, with intervals of seconds to minutes.
